What is Baptism?
Water baptism is a gift from the Trinity that reveals the love of the Father, unites the person with the Lord Jesus as our savior, and reminds us to fully depend on the Holy Spirit as our guide. Water baptism is a sacred, spiritual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. It signifies that our humanity has suffered from rebelling against God.
Baptism is a statement that our former way of life has been put to death. With this new life in Christ, we have the power to resist temptation and choose to live as the beloved children of God.
Are you or someone you care for desiring to be baptized?
Prior to our baptisms on Sun., Aug. 28, we'll host a baptism class Aug. 17. For more information and to register, please connect with Terry Chi.
