I am truly grateful for Caleb Caldwell and his dedicated leadership of the Royal City Kids (RCK) ministry this past year. Under his guidance, we returned to in-person kids’ programming after a long break at the height of the pandemic, and added a second service due to tremendous growth. His last Sunday is December 18, so please show your appreciation for his dedicated service.

What’s Next for RCK
Through much prayer, we’ve identified Carrie Damschroder as our interim RCK Director. She has graciously agreed to give her time 3-6 months while we evaluate our future needs for children and youth ministry at Sanctuary.

We will inform the church when a job description will be posted. Please keep this transition of leadership in your prayers.

Meet Carrie
Carrie has been attending Sanctuary for a year and a half. She and her husband, Matt, have two children that were recently dedicated to God a few months ago. Carrie has a background in youth ministry, with a degree from Huntington University, and experience working with Youth for Christ. Carrie also volunteered in children’s ministry for many years in her previous church, and has been a consistent volunteer in RCK for several months.

Next Steps
We enthusiastically welcome Carrie into this interim role, where she will need all our collective support. Parents, we’re calling on you to join the RCK team – we ask that all RCK kiddos have at least one adult from their household serving – and those who aren’t parents, we invite you to serve our children in meaningful ways in RCK. Email kids@sanctuarycolumbus.com to inquire about opportunities to volunteer.

Please help us thank Caleb and welcome our interim director, Carrie!

Grace + Peace,
Pastor Rich
