Classroom Closures for Sun., Jan. 9, 2022
Nursery & Pre-K Classrooms Only; Kindergarten thru 5th Grade Meeting as Usual

It has come to our attention that one of the RCK teachers who taught in the nursery last Sun., Jan. 2, tested positive for COVID on Wed., Jan. 5. The teacher was vaccinated, has received a booster and was double masked during teaching. Your prayers are greatly appreciated for the family.

The staff and elder board are working quickly to develop policies and procedures on how to handle positive cases in the new strand, Omnicron. However, until we have something solidified, we felt it was best to be overly cautious and close the nursery and pre-k classrooms for this Sun., Jan. 9.

Please feel free to reach out to Pastor Rich (rich.johnson@sanctuarycolumbus.com) or Terry Chi, Director of Operations (connections@sanctuarycolumbus.com) if you have any questions or concerns. We have faced this similar challenge in the past and we are confident that we will be able to navigate this in a way that leads us to Christ and a deeper Christian community.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. - 1 Peter 2:9

Royal City Kids (RCK) is a growing ministry of Sanctuary Columbus Church serving infants through fifth grade. We’re excited to see young families joining a multiethnic church, transformed by Jesus and united in service. RCK is a place where children learn to live out this purpose in classes and special events to encourage their growth.

Currently, our in-person gatherings have limited classrooms for ages 0-5th grade.

What can you expect each week?

Each classroom includes social time, music, prayer and Bible teaching. Each classroom is an environment where kids can be silly, safe and seek God together.

How do we prioritize safety?

We value your children's safety and ensure all volunteers are background-checked, full of love and energy. Our volunteers truly want to care for your child(ren) and provide a safe, fun environment for them to experience God's love.
