Many Christians have grown up hearing the word “Redeemer” used to describe Jesus. But since this isn't a word we use often in our day-to-day language, a lot of unspoken questions about this word can linger in the background: if Jesus is the Redeemer, whom has he redeemed? Why? From what has Jesus redeemed them? And what is so powerful about being redeemed? In this sermon series, we’ll walk with Ruth along her journey with Naomi– from Moab to Bethlehem, from “kinlessness” to “redeemed”-- to discover the layers of storytelling and meaning that come with the powerful concept of redemption. And we’ll use those layers of storytelling and meaning to more deeply understand what redemption means for us today.
