The world has traveled one full revolution around the sun, marking one year that we’ve been fighting COVID-19 with social distancing and stay-at-home orders. And now there’s a sense of turning over a new leaf. Vaccines are being administered. Businesses and schools are reopening. And many of us are asking, “Where do we go from here?” Where do we— the church— go from here? For this sermon series, we imagine that in the time following Jesus’ resurrection, the seven churches of the book of Revelation were asking the same question. And the prophet John of Patmos has seven answers for us, seven invitations to which we can respond as the church continues to shine as a beacon of hope for the world.
