Untangling Christmas

Tesco, a British supermarket company, posted an ad for a new job—a Christmas Light Untangler. The company's website offered the following description for the 36-hour-a-week job: "This new position will offer you the chance to show that every little bit helps, by running the unique in-store service with a friendly, flexible approach and making a genuine difference to the little things that matter to our customers this Christmas." The first duty includes Managing the Christmas Lights Untangling stand."

It seems Christmas is a time where everything gets a little jumbled, tangled up and twisted up. When life gets tangled up and twisted up, our blood pressure goes higher, and our fuse gets shorter. A large part of our problem is allowing all the loose ends of the season to get tangled and choke out what Christmas is all about.
